Who authorises work?
All work is authorised by the local authority i.e. Department Regional Development.
Why are you re-digging my street?
M&M Contractors is employed by a number of different utilities companies, which all have different requirements and may from time to time use the same trenches. All works are essential and have been authorised by the local authorities for that area.
How long will you be working here?
It is in our interest to complete works on time. However, there maybe technical difficulties that may require additional work or may even need to be planed again.
Why are there holes without barriers?
This should not be the case and could be due to vandalism or because they have been stolen. If you have seen any M&M Contractors worksites that are not secure, please contact us using the Careline form and we will ensure that things are rectified immediately.
Why are barriers preventing parking?
Barriers are erected for safety reasons on behalf of utility companies and with permission of the local authority.
When will the road and/or pavement surface be back to its original state?
M&M Contractors always works within the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act and endeavors to reinstate the road and pavements back to their original condition. Occasionally, however, and for various reasons, a temporary road surface may be installed until the final reinstatement can be done.
Why aren’t there more men to get the job done quicker?
Legislation limits the amount of trenching that can be done at any one time, though work may be carried out at more than one location.
